Greek black metal legends Rotting Christ formed in 1988, with their early demo recordings containing strong grindcore elements as the band quickly evolved their style into something altogether darker. Spearheaded by brothers Sakis & Themis Tolis, Rotting Christ have remained one of the strongest & most respected forces in the black metal scene since their debut release ‘Passage Of Arcturo’. Their legacy towards greatness was cemented even further by the genre classic follow-up ‘Thy Mighty Contract’, helping to firmly establish the Greek scene as being among the most essential black metal movements of the early 90’s. Through continuous live work & an extensive body of releases, Rotting Christ continue to be one of the top names of the black metal scene.

‘A Dead Poem’ – the band’s fourth full-length studio album – was originally released in 1997 & was the follow-up to ‘Triarchy Of The Lost Lovers’ which, with a more melodic & dynamic scope to the compositions, saw Rotting Christ achieve acclaim beyond the black metal spectrum. This direction was further developed on ‘A Dead Poem’, for what was to become the band’s most successful album to date. With a by-now finely honed craft of darkly atmospheric composition & an aura of anthemic melancholy combined with a few more gothic-styled elements throughout, ‘A Dead Poem’ achieved a certain accessibility & acceptance within a broader demographic, leading to a further ascension through the ranks of metal’s greats for Rotting Christ.

‘A Dead Poem’ was recorded at Woodhouse Studios in Germany, with production duties aided by Xy of Swiss legends ‘Samael’, who also contributes keyboards. Fernando Ribeiro of then-labelmates ‘Moonspell’ lends his vocals to the track ‘Among Two Storms’.

This edition of ‘A Dead Poem’ is presented on mid-price CD, including eight-page booklet and on black vinyl, with printed inner sleeve including lyrics.

Neil Young + Promise Of The Real’s new live album ‘Noise & Flowers’ captures the group in all their glory on their 2019 European tour. The release will be accompanied by a similarly titled concert film that’s included in the album’s 2xLP+CD+Blu-ray Box Set. ‘Noise & Flowers’ documents a 9-date tour that began just two weeks after Young’s lifetime friend and manager of more than 50 years, Elliot Roberts, passed away at age 76. Performing alongside a photograph of Roberts taped to his road case, Young approached each show as a celebratory memorial service to honor his late friend. It’s a trek the legendary singer/songwriter describes as “wondrous.” In paying tribute to the manager who guided Young’s career for over a half-century, Noise & Flowers explores all corners of his vast discography. It balances all-timer anthems (“Mr. Soul,” “Helpless,” “Rockin’ in the Free World”) with rarely aired ‘70s deep cuts (“Field of Opportunity,” “On the Beach”) and ’90s gems (“From Hank to Hendrix,” “Throw Your Hatred Down”). His frequent backing band since 2015, Promise of the Real effectively bridges the extremes in Young’s sound, infusing his raging rockers and country serenades with their casual brilliance and telepathic intuition.

The fifth album was released in 1992 and was the first after the death of guitarist Steve Clark, it went straight in at No 1 in the Billboard charts.

The album produced by the band and Mike Shipley (with Mutt Lange Executive producer) contain songs like Let’s Get Rocked and Make Love Like A Man which are still played today in the bands set.
