Born in Paris in 1915, Edith Piaf became “the voice of France”.
She began her singing career on the streets, and her only
musical apprenticeship came from listening to singers on the
capital’s popular radio stations. But Piaf’s emotional reading of
songs typified the French chanteuse style and in 1936 her
recording career began. Soon, she was enchanting audiences
beyond Paris. Enjoy this magnificent 180g clear vinyl LP
including “Non, je ne regrette rien”, “La vie en rose” and more.
