A tribute to legendary composer Ennio Morricone (1928 – 2020).• Il Volo’s new much-awaited album dedicated to Ennio Morricone (1928 – 2020), one of the greatest composers of the 20th century • 14 songs with some of the Maestro’s most famous and unforgettable melodies • Il Volo are: Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble • Il Volo have always felt closely connected to Ennio Morricone, also appearing on stage with him in 2011, at Piazza del Popolo in Rome • The album was recorded in the Forum Studios in Rome • Marcello Rota conducting the historic Roma Sinfonietta Orchestra, which – since it was established in 1994 – worked extensively with Morricone, performing under his musical direction at some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls • Morricone’s son Andrea Morricone is a huge supporter of this project, providing lyrics for “The Ecstasy of Gold” and a previously unreleased track written by him (“I colori dell’amore”) • The album features guest stars David Garrett, Hauser (from 2CELLOS) and Chris Botti
