Gladiator II – directed by Ridley Scott and featuring Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington – picks up in the years after Russell Crowe’s Maximus gave his life, upending the leadership of the decadent and corrupt society. The central character portrayed by Paul Mescal is Lucius, last seen as the young son of Lucilla, Connie Nielsen’s noblewoman from the original movie. The original Gladiator film won the Academy Award for Best Picture and The Golden Globe for Best Original Score and with Gladiator 2 a similar level of box office success and awards buzz is expected. Harry Gregson-Williams is one of Hollywood’s most sought-after composers. Harry’s scores span the spectrum of high- profile projects from action to drama to animation – each infused with the emotional punch and atmospheric intensity. Harry was the composer on all four instalments of the blockbuster Shrek franchise and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. His TV credits include HBO’s The Gilded Age, and video game credits include Konami’s Metal Gear Solid franchise and Activision’s Call Of Duty.
