Blues
Peter Green’s songs with Fleetwood Mac, such as “Albatross”, “Black Magic Woman”, “Oh Well”, “The Green Manalishi” and “Man of the World”, appeared on the singles charts, and several have been adapted by a variety of musicians. Many rock guitarists have cited Peter Green as an influence, including Gary Moore, Jimmy Page, Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Andy Powell of Wishbone Ash, Noel Gallagher and Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood. ‘Kolors’ includes fourteen original tunes from the pen of Mike and Peter Green, as well as the traditional “Same Old Blues”. There’s low down blues like “Liquor and You”, “Bad Bad Feeling” and more funky stuff as “Black Woman” and “What Am I Doing Here” with Green’s slippery, understated licks creeping up everywhere.SKU: 8718627232781 -

PETER GREEN – WHATCHA GONNA DO? (CD)
Fourth Solo Album Written By Mike Green

Blues
‘Whatcha Gonna Do?’ is Fleetwood Mac founder Peter Green’s fourth solo album, the third in his middle period of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Considering this period of Peter Green’s solo career, this is one of the best albums. All the tracks on the album were written by Green’s brother Mike. “Gotta See Her Tonight” is bitterness itself, to a rock-reggae beat. “Lost My Love” is a subtly dynamic slow blues, with two superb solos that refer to Albert King. And then there’s “Last Train To San Antone” with an architectural guitar solo. Green’s guitar leads had gotten very elliptical but still has a nice pace and attack. There’s an excellent rhythm section, particularly Fairport Convention drummer Dave Mattacks and a nice production job by Peter Vernon-Kell.SKU: 8718627232798
