In 2022 the highly anticipated and long-awaited Worlds Collide Tour kicked off. Few collaborations in Within Temptation’s career have ignited as much anticipation as their co-headlining tour with Evanescence, after it being postponed four times due to COVID. As soon as the world reopened, the Worlds Collide Tour finally took place. Over the course of over four weeks, the tour traversed 17 cities across Europe and the UK, delivering a total of 19 performances. For this tour, Within Temptation and Evanescence saw an amazing amount of over 200,000 tickets sold, 7703 km’s traveled, 8 tour buses serving as mobile homes for the artists and crew, twelve trailers loaded with the gear to fuel the spectacle, and a dedicated team of over 80 experienced individuals whose tireless efforts ensured that every aspect of the tour ran seamlessly. During the Worlds Collide Tour, Within Temptation played two sold-out shows in their home country at Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam (NL). Before receiving mainstream airplay with the successful singles “Ice Queen” and “Mother Earth” the symphonic metal band Within Temptation released their debut EP Enter. The EP is rooted within the gothic and doom metal, with harsh grunts from Robert Westerholt and Sharon den Adel’s beautiful voice. With the dark atmosphere and long instrumental parts they created an impressive EP. The tracks can be divided into two groups, the doom laden tracks and the lighter melodic songs. Guitarist Robert Westerholt provides growling on different songs, contrasting with Sharon’s high and stunning voice.The Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation was founded in 1996 by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt. After their first recordings in the doom metal they were developing their music to a more accessible symphonic style, becoming known to the worldwide public.

The concept album The Unforgiving is the fifth studio record by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation. Sharon den Adel makes full use of her vocal style and 3+ octave range, as the band is bringing back the symphonic music of the ‘80s. The guitars are brought to the front and memorable riffs are backed by a mix of symphonic and electronic keyboards. Their song writing skills increased during the years, as you can hear in the lyrics Sharon is singing about murder, getting a second change in life and feeling guilty. The album charted all over the world (#50 in the Billboard 200, #23 in the UK Album chart, and #2 in the Dutch Album chart).
