The Wait is over…Actually, it’s back! Nearly three decades after going out of print, Metallica will release a remastered version of ‘The $5.98 EP – Garage Days Re-Revisited’ on April 13th 2018 as part of their ongoing remasters series via their own Blackened Recordings label.Originally released over 30 years ago on August 21st 1987, the collection features the band covering songs by early Metallica influencers such as Diamond Head, Holocaust, Killing Joke, Budgie, and The Misfits. The five songs from the EP were later included as a part of the 1998 multi-platinum release Garage, Inc., but the band felt it was time to bring it back in the original formats. This marks the first time this specific version is available to UK-based fans as the track “The Wait” was not included on the original version of the EP.
‘The $5.98 EP – Garage Days Re-Revisited’ was remastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, CA.

Metallica has confirmed the title and release date of its forthcoming 12th studio album: 72 Seasons will be available April 14, 2023 via the band’s own Blackened Recordings. Produced by Greg Fidelman with Hetfield & Ulrich, and clocking in at over 77 minutes, the 12-track 72 Seasons is Metallica’s first full length collection of new material since 2016’s Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. The album will be released in formats including 2LP 140g black vinyl and limited edition variants, CD and digital.72 Seasons is heralded by first single “Lux ?terna,” a short, sharp blast that distills 40 years of Metallica into three and a half minutes. “Lux ?terna” is available now to stream and download, and as an instant grat track with all pre-orders of 72 Seasons.
Speaking on the concept of the album title, James Hetfield said: “72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry.”

Iced Earth were invited to headline the Bang Your Head Festival on July 16th, 2016. Although the band was in the studio working on composing and preproduction of their forthcoming album Incorruptible (2017), they accepted the offer. The promoter of the show was wishing for a full play through of the Dark Saga (1996) album to celebrate the 20th anniversary of that record. However, due to the demands of the studio work, the band felt that there was no way to do a proper tribute to the entire album with the time constraints they were dealing with. The setlist is fairly Dark Saga heavy, but also features 3 tracks from the acclaimed Plagues of Babylon (2014) release, and thus unleashes these songs for the first time in a live recording, as well as touching on many eras of the bands vast catalog/history. This album also captures one of guitarist Troy Seele’s last performances with the band, who left soon after, to take care of his family. Iced Earth founder and guitarist Jon Schaffer, longtime drummer Brent Smedley, bassist Luke Appleton, and singer Stu Block round out the lineup for this show.SKU: 803341569232 -

ANATHEMA’S NIGHT OF ETHEREAL DOOM METAL MAGIC FROM KRAKOW, POLAND, 1996, WITH A SELECTION OF CLASSICS FROM THEIR FIRST TWO ALBUMS.‘A Vision of A Dying Embrace’ contains a night of spellbinding Doom Metal from Anathema’s live show in Krakow, Poland, in 1996. Whilst still reasonably early in the career of the band, & with rhythm guitarist Vincent Cavanagh taking on vocal duties only relatively recently for the sublime ‘The Silent Enigma’ opus, the set contained a whole selection of now-established classics from Anathema’s first two studio albums & ‘Pentecost III’ EP, with epics like ‘A Dying Wish’, ‘Sleepless’, & ‘Mine is Yours’ captured in their purest & rawest form in the live setting.
Anathema has spent most of their career making music that defies description. As part of the “Peaceville three”, along with Paradise Lost & My Dying Bride, Anathema have carved a strong legacy since their inception at the turn of the 1990’s, to become a widely revered & respected band within both the metal world & beyond, as their sound & compositions progressed from doom/death metal into more rock & progressive territory with each subsequent release, becoming one of the UK’s most cherished & critically acclaimed rock bands.
This edition of ‘A Vision of a Dying Embrace’ is presented on CD/DVD format, with the accompanying DVD containing four Anathema promo videos in addition to the live show itself.
