The 2000 album ‘Mother Earth’ was ‘Within Temptation’s second full-length album and it provided the band the nudge they needed to gain worldwide success, which they are still enjoying to his day. Within Temptation play a brand of female-fronted, keyboard-heavy power metal. There is a great balance of all the instrumentation on this album, including Den Adel’s voice, which has a dynamic range from ethereal highs to a more expressive mid-range. The tracks “Mother Earth”, “Ice Queen”, “Deceiver of Fools” and “Dark Wings” (feat. Arjen Lucassen) combine atmosphere with heaviness and melody perfectly. This Expanded WT Edition release has three bonus tracks: “World Of Make Believe”, “Bittersweet” and “Jane Doe”.

Stevie Ray Vaughan’s third studio album Soul To Soul was released in 1985, just two years after his massive debut Texas Flood [MOVLP583]. Moving more into a soulful R&B-tinged blues sound, Stevie included two new band members on keyboard and saxophone for Soul To Soul. The band know their way around a number of cover versions of songs penned by Hank Ballard, Doyle Bramhall and Willie Dixon, bringing a variety of influences into SRV’s brand of modern blues. His own compositions such as “Say What”, “Ain’t Gone ‘N’ Give Up On Love” en “Life Without You” reveal an artist that is ever passionate in delivering real blues, and growing in his songwriting at the same time.

Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation was founded in 1996 by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt. Before receiving mainstream airplay with the successful singles “Ice Queen” and “Mother Earth” the symphonic metal band Within Temptation released their debut album Enter. The album is rooted within the gothic and doom metal, with harsh grunts from Robert Westerholt and Sharon den Adel’s beautiful voice.

“Exile on Mainstream” is the first & only compilation album by American rock band Matchbox Twenty. This 2007 release features 7 new songs that emerged from a Steve Lillywhite-produced session as well as 11 of the band’s biggest hits. This reissue marks the first color-vinyl edition of the record and the first time re-pressed since 2007.

This album is the culmination of the innovative sound that Donald put forth on Fancy Free, Electric Byrd and Kofi. Combining L.A. studio musicians with Bobby Hutcherson and Harold Land and Jazz Crusaders Joe Sample and Wilton Felder, Byrd paints sonic pictures that draw from the textures of Miles Davis’s “In a Silent Way” and African music as well as jazz, funk and fusion.

On his first Blue Note date since relinquishing The Jazz Messengers moniker to Art Blakey, Horace Silver struck gold with this sterling set of hard bop that introduced his indelible composition “Senor Blues.”

The pianist was joined by an ace quintet featuring Donald Byrd on trumpet, Hank Mobley on tenor saxophone, Doug Watkins on bass, and Louis Hayes on drums.

This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
