Limited Edition, Picture Disc, Anniversary Edition
Madonna’s groundbreaking fifth studio album, Erotica, will celebrate its 30th anniversary on October 20, 2022. In 1992, the album debuted at the top of charts around the world and has gone on to sell more than six million copies. To celebrate the anniversary, a limited edition 12” vinyl picture disc featuring the album’s title track will finally see the light of day after a three-decade delay. Originally scheduled for release during the fall of 1992, the picture disc features a colorized version of the famous “toe sucking” photo taken from Madonna’s Sex book, which was released the same week as the Erotica album. However, the picture disc was cancelled unexpectedly just ahead of release, as the visual was considered too explicit for in-store display back then. The manufactured copies were promptly destroyed, with only a few finding their way into the public’s hands, only adding to the infamous allure of the release.

‘Return of the Dream Canteen’ marks the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ second album release of 2022, hot on the heels of the platinum-selling chart topper ‘Unlimited Love’ which was released in April. It will also be the band’s second Rick Rubin produced album of 2022, and reinforces their reputation as a band at their absolute peak, riding the crest of an undeniable creative wave.

“We went in search of ourselves as the band that we have somehow always been. Just for the fun of it we jammed and learned some old songs. Before long we started the mysterious process of building new songs. A beautiful bit of chemistry meddling that had befriended us hundreds of times along the way. Once we found that slip stream of sound and vision, we just kept mining. With time turned into an elastic waist band of oversized underwear, we had no reason to stop writing and rocking. Stealers Wheel was a successful Scottish folk rock band, which had a gigantic hit in 1973 with “Stuck in the Middle with You”. One of the main figures in the band was Gerry Rafferty, known for his solo hits “Baker Street”, “Right Down the Line” and “Night Owl”. These songs, fan favorites and more gems can be found on the exclusive 2LP Gerry Rafferty & Stealers Wheel Collected.

School friends Joe Egan and Gerry Rafferty formed the band Stealers Wheel in 1972. The band existed for only 3 years, but they recorded 3 albums and several songs charted. After their break-up in 1975 Gerry Rafferty continued his solo career and recorded several hits songs, like “Baker Street” and “Days Gone Down”. His most successful album “City to City” peaked at No. 1 in the US and No. 6 in the UK. This Collected 2LP consists of one side with Stealers Wheel classics and three sides with Rafferty songs from the ‘70s and ‘80s.
