The Grateful Dead’s first tour outside of North America was immortalized on Europe ’72, a triple live album that distilled peak moments from the 22 shows the band played in six countries for thousands of Europeans. A triumph critically and commercially when it was released in November 1972, today the double-platinum album is an integral part of the Dead’s live legacy and beloved by generations of fans.

Soen is a Swedish Progressive Metal band with influences from dark Rock comprised of former members of Death, Opeth and Willowtree. The centre-point of their fourth album ‘Lotus’ remains those trademark heavy progressive Soen riffs and their perfect combination of Metal and Rock. This melodic and powerful piece of work is produced by David Castillo and Inaki Marconi in the Ghostward Studios. You almost can’t compare Soen with other bands, but they certainly match with bands like Tool. Listen here to ‘Martyrs’.

The Japanese art of kintsugi is to take something broken and make it more beautiful than before; shards of ceramic put back together with gold-flecked glue, the cracks a proud part of the object. It’s a concept that’s central to Broken Machine, the second album from Southend-formed, South-east-based five-piece Nothing But Thieves, whose slow-burning self-titled 2015 debut made them a big deal worldwide– but fractured them too.
