«Η Εκδίκηση Της Γυφτιάς»
Το 1978 κυκλοφόρησε ένας δίσκος που έμελλε να μείνει στην ιστορία ως ένα από τα πιο ριζοσπαστικά έργα του σύγχρονου ελληνικού τραγουδιού.
Οι εμπνευσμένες μελωδίες του Νίκου Ξυδάκη συναντούν τον ιδιαίτερο στίχο του Μανώλη Ρασούλη και παρέα με τον Σαββόπουλο, τον Παπάζογλου και τον Κοντογιάννη δημιουργούν τον δίσκο που έμελλε να ανατρέψει το σκηνικό στο ελληνικό λαϊκό τραγούδι και να επηρεάσει σημαντικά μεταγενέστερες δισκογραφικές δημιουργίες.
Είναι ο πρώτος δίσκος που ηχογραφείται στο νεοσύστατο τότε στούντιο «Αγροτικόν» του Νίκου Παπάζογλου και κυκλοφορεί από τη ΛΥΡΑ με το χαρακτηριστικό εξώφυλλο του Αλέξη Κυριτσόπουλου.
Τα τραγούδια του άλμπουμ εντελώς διαφορετικά από τα ακούσματα της εποχής, δεν μπορούσες να τα χαρακτηρίσεις «λαϊκά» ή «έντεχνα», δημιουργούν μία νέα κατηγορία και «Η Εκδίκηση της Γυφτιάς» αφήνει το στίγμα της στην ελληνική δισκογραφία.
